About Me

"I knew in kindergarten, I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up!"

"I knew in kindergarten, I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up!"

Hello, I'm Bethann Barron (B2, Ms. B or Ms. Barron) and I'm thrilled to welcome you to Perfect Square Math Academy!

With over 20 years of math tutoring experience and 8 years of teaching grades

6-12, I've had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities. Whether it was in a bustling classroom or through one-on-one tutoring sessions, my goal has always been the same: to empower every student to succeed in math.

I graduated from Salem State University, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Armed with a solid academic foundation and a genuine passion for teaching, I've made it my mission to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and ultimately grow their skills.

As a mother of 3 myself, I know firsthand the importance of personalized attention and patience when it comes to helping students overcome their struggles in math. That's why I tailor my tutoring approach to meet the unique needs of each student, providing them with the tools and encouragement they need to thrive.

Whether your child is struggling with basic arithmetic or preparing for SATs, I'm here to provide the guidance and support they need to succeed. Together, we'll turn those "I don't get it" moments into "Aha!" breakthroughs, one step at a time.

I'm passionate about helping students build not only their math skills but also their confidence and love for the subject. If you're ready to embark on a journey of math mastery, I'm here to help you every step of the way.

Let's make math not just a subject to conquer, but a source of empowerment and joy!

What They Say

"Bethann Barron is an extremely knowledgeable, patient and thorough math tutor. My sons continue to see wonderful results with their math grades after their sessions with Bethann. She has been working with my boys for two years now and we will continue to utilize Bethann's services for years to come. Not only does she help with homework, she always prepares my sons for upcoming quizzes, tests, midterms and finals. We are so grateful for Bethann for helping our sons feel successful with math. She always puts in extra effort to accommodate my sons' tutoring sessions around their busy sports schedules; Bethann has even shown up to show support at their sporting events! Anyone would be lucky to have Bethann Barron as their math tutor!"

Michele T.

"I highly recommend Bethann! She has helped my child with difficult concepts in math. She took the initiative to reach out to his teacher to find out what his struggles were so she has the best understanding to help him. Within two weeks of working with my son we saw major improvements and great test scores. His confidence has grown so much. We can't thank her enough for working with our son!"

Maggie B.

"When my daughters were in 7th and 4th grade; I realized that both of them had maths deficits. I liked Bethann from the beginning for 2 distinct reasons, firstly she is a former maths teacher. She is trained to stop and check, and to stop and check again-- over and over-- until the kids get the skill set she is teaching them.

Secondly, She uses pre-teaching and chunking which allows learners to breathe, absorb and really pay attention to the new maths concept being taught. Her lessons are targeted and she knows to teach the concepts before and after the current concept her clients are working on to give the maths learner the full picture-- only a trained professional would know to do this."
